Approximately 4,000 acres of public hunting lands are available on the north end of El Dorado Lake. Approximately 2,000 acres within the park itself are also available for hunting. Popularly hunted game are quail, pheasant, prairie chicken, turkey and deer.

BIKE AND WALKING PATH

Starting at East Park, continuing east and north under Central Street and over the Walnut River to North Main Park; north along Main, east on 12th Street, around Prairie Trails Country Club, and stretching to El Dorado Lake & State Park, the concrete path takes pedestrians or bikers on a lovely excursion from the city out to the wooded trail area below El Dorado Lake dam. Safe and enjoyable entertainment and excersize for the whole family. 6.3 miles from one end to the other. Parking available at both ends of the trail and off 12th Street.
